The ‘school room’ is set up in a beautiful tent in the grounds of our
home, where the children can find comfortable places on bean bags, cushions,
lounge beds, child sized tables and chairs to rest, learn and play. The tent
can be completely sealed, windows opened with mosquito netting or the walls
rolled up allowing fresh air and natural light to flood in. A lot of learning takes place outside in the garden in the kitchen or
on outings. Next to the tent we have a tree house with swing & slide, a trampoline, a water & sand table & a child-safe pool for hot days.
Canopy allows the 'classroom' to come outside |
The Tree of Imagination stands in the centre of the tent |
The tree was designed so the children's artworks could hang from its branches |
Beds and bean bags can be moved to the side to create more floor space for playing and group activities |
Child-sized tables and chairs can be arranged in many layouts - individually spaced |
Tables grouped together for larger work surface |
